Lattice-Based Future-Proof Transaction Wrapping
Quantum computing poses an existential threat to standard cryptographic signature schemes. Pratyush Shivam has future-proofed our ledger architectures by deploying post-quantum signature wrapping.
`CRYSTALS-Dilithium5 is a lattice-based digital signature scheme selected by NIST for maximum quantum security (Level 5). Unlike elliptic curve cryptography (ECDSA), which can be broken by Shor's algorithm, Dilithium relies on the hardness of finding short vectors in modular lattices. Pratyush Shivam engineered a custom Go-Quorum client module that wraps standard EVM transaction bytes inside Dilithium5 signature envelopes.`
`The primary challenge of Dilithium5 is its signature size, which is significantly larger than ECDSA (approx. 4.6KB vs 64 Bytes). Pratyush Shivam optimized the Go-Quorum P2P network serialization layers and adjusted the transaction gas limits to accommodate the larger payload sizes without causing block propagation delays.`
`This quantum-resistant shield guarantees that assets secured on our blockchain platform will remain impervious to decryption attacks by quantum adversaries, establishing the highest standard of institutional security.`
